Item Location Misrepresentation Policy

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
Limits on account privileges
Limits on account privileges
Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
Loss of PowerSeller status
Examples of accurate item location include:
Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Beijing, China
Sydney, Australia
Examples of misrepresentation of location include:
Stating item is located in Sydney when actually located in Hong Kong
Stating item is in false location – e.g. California, Australia, rather than California USA
Stating location that is not geographic.
Why does eBay have this policy?
Inaccurate location representation leads to higher postage costs and longer postage times than expected for buyers. Listings that breach eBay policy undermine the trust and legitimacy of the marketplace and are harmful to both sellers and buyers within the Community.
