Pricing
If you are using an auction format for your listing, consider starting your item at a low price and without a reserve. This will entice bidders to start bidding on your item early and the more bidders involved the better!

Many sellers list their items at $1 with no reserve and experience great results for their final sale price.

To determine what price will be attractive to prospective bidders, take a look at items that have already finished on eBay by using the completed items search.

Payments
On eBay, you choose how you would like to accept payments from your buyers, for example cheque, money order, bank deposit etc.

Buyers want a safe and easy way to pay for your item so consider accepting online payments such as Paypal to speed up payment of your item.

Putting your account information in the Bank Deposit Express section, will allow buyers to make payments for their items without having to contact you for your account details.

Postage
Stating your postage and packaging costs up front is highly recommended, e.g. $4 to anywhere in Australia, $8 to the US and Europe, or include the dimensions and weight of your item so that buyers can calculate the postage themselves. Buyers prefer to be aware of all costs prior to bidding.

Visit our Postage Centre to find out how to calculate postage costs and tips on posting your item.
