Terms and Conditions

Eligible Sellers receive up to $25 off variable fees

When does the promotion run?

  • The promotion runs from 00:00 (AEST) on 5 September 2023 and will be available for a limited time only, for as long as it is advertised on the eBay.com.au site (“Promotion Period”).

Who is eligible for this Promotion?

  • “Eligible Sellers” means sellers registered on eBay.com.au who:
    • have Australia or New Zealand as their registered address on eBay; and
    • have an active eBay Plus membership. The eBay Plus Terms and Conditions will apply in respect of your membership;
    • have received an invitation from eBay to participate in this promotion;
    • have activated the promotion by accepting these Terms and Conditions by either clicking “Accept offer” on this Terms and Conditions page or clicking “Get offer” under the “promotional offers” section of their My eBay account; and
    • have received confirmation from eBay that “you’ve accepted the offer”.
  • Once you have accepted the offer, the promotion will be automatically assigned to your eBay account and will be visible within My eBay.
  • Your invitation to participate in this promotion is not transferable or exchangeable.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, if the promotion is not redeemed by the end of the "Promotion Period", it shall be forfeited by you and the discount will not carry over into the next period (if any). You will also not receive the discount in a period if the promotion was not activated for the applicable time period in accordance with these terms.

What is the Promotion?

  • The Promotion entitles Eligible Sellers, who have activated this promotion in accordance with these terms, to a discount of up to $25 (incl. GST) on variable fees (which is a component of Final Value Fees as defined on eBay.com.au) on the sale of 3 Eligible Listings sold during the Promotion Period. “Eligible Listings” means item listings that are:
    • newly listed on eBay.com.au during the Promotion Period (i.e. they cannot be relisted items through ‘Good ‘til Cancelled (GTC) or auto-renewal);
    • listed in multi-quantity or single quantity fixed price or auction format only; and
    • not listed in one of the Excluded Categories (as defined below).
  • Final Value Fees are the selling fees charged on the sale of an item, calculated as a percentage of the total sale amount paid per item (item price plus postage and handling charges) called a ‘variable fee’, plus a fixed charge of $0.30 per order (incl. GST for non-store subscribers). More information about eBay selling fees, with or without an eBay store subscription, can be found here.
  • This promotion only applies to the variable fees on Eligible Listings that are sold prior to the listing renewal, whether by auto-renewal or because the listing is GTC. After this, standard eBay fees will apply.

What exclusions apply?

  • Items listed in the following categories are excluded from the Promotion (“Excluded Categories”): Websites & Businesses for Sale (11759), Aircraft (63676), Boats (26429), Caravans, Motorhomes (32633), Cars (29690), Motorcycles (32073), Trucks, Commercial Vehicles (6049), Real Estate (10542), Services (316), Flights (3253), Tickets (1305), Travel (3252), Gift Cards (172009). These Excluded Categories are in addition to any listings or categories restricted by eBay's prohibited and restricted items policies.
  • The Promotion only applies to variable fees (a component of your Final Value Fees). For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion does not apply to the $0.30 (incl GST) fixed order fee for non-store subscribers (or otherwise have registered for a tax exempt status with eBay) or $0.33 fixed order fee (incl GST) for store subscribers, fees for optional features or services (including Feature Fees), international selling fees or any other fees set out at eBay.com.au, as varied from time to time. See our help pages on Selling fees without an eBay Store, eBay Stores selling fees, eBay Stores fees for registered businesses, as applicable, for more information.
  • You may be excluded from the Promotion if your eBay account is subject to listing restrictions, suspended, restricted or made inactive, or if you fall below eBay’s minimum performance standards, prior to or during the Promotion Period.
  • Listings that contravene eBay's policies or fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions are excluded from the Promotion.
  • eBay’s User Agreement and other rules and policies continue to apply and are set out at: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/overview.html.
  • eBay reserves the right to verify eligibility of sellers and listings to receive the promotional discount. Persons who violate the terms of the Promotion on eBay.com.au may not be eligible for future promotions/pricing trials on eBay.com.au.
  • To the extent permitted by law, eBay is not liable for any injury, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained as a result of or in connection with receiving, taking or using the promotional discount.
  • Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting the promotional credit/discount or in relation to qualifying listings is the responsibility of the seller.
  • eBay reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions at its reasonable discretion by publishing revised terms on eBay.com.au.
  • These Terms and Conditions will be construed in accordance with, and governed exclusively by, the laws of the State of New South Wales. Each party hereto expressly consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of New South Wales.
  • All monetary amounts specified in these Terms and Conditions are in Australian dollars (AUD) unless expressly stated otherwise.
