eBay’s Promoted Listings general strategy ad fees are based on the bids a seller sets for the keywords in their ad group, and the total number of clicks the promoted ads have received.  For more information, visit our help page.

3. When is it?

This Promotion will begin on 7 July 2026, and will end on 30 September 2026, for listings that are promoted on www.eBay.com.au (the “Promotion Period”).

4. How do I receive the Promotion?

Once an Eligible Member sells their items through the Promoted Listings service using a general strategy during the Promotion Period, they will incur ad fees based on the ad percentage rate selected (“Promoted Listings Ad fee”).

The Promotion (and discount) will not be shown during the listing or campaign creation process.

If the Promoted Listings general strategy ads fee discount under the Promotion is not applied automatically to the Eligible Member’s account, please allow up to 30 days from the end of the Promotion Period for the discount to be applied.

The Promotion will only be applicable to ad fee charges for clicks that have been generated through Promoted Listings general strategy campaigns during the Promotion Period, excluding the date you opt in to the Promotion.

For example only: A promotion starts on 1 November. Seller opts in on 2 November to activate the promotion. Only ad fees for clicks which occur from 3 November onward to the end of the relevant promotion period will be eligible for the discount.

  • Once the maximum credit is reached, eBay’s standard Promoted Listings general strategy ad fees will apply.
  • The Eligible Member is only entitled to a credit in relation to actual Promoted Listings general strategy ad fees incurred during the Promotion Period. For the avoidance of doubt, if the maximum credit has not been fully utilised before the end of the Promotion Period, any unused portion will be forfeited and the Eligible Member will not be entitled to the full maximum credit.
