PayPal is FREE for all purchases in Australian dollars made by Australian PayPal accounts.
If you're selling items or receiving money with PayPal there is a small fee, but with its time-saving and fraud protection benefits, PayPal is a cost-effective way to manage your sales.
If you're selling a lot of items you may be eligible for a lower rate.
A better rate is also available for sales under $10.

Notes
A monthly transaction volume equals total transactions generated from both eBay.com.au sales and your own website to the same PayPal account. There is a fee of $1 for withdrawing funds of less than $150 to your bank account.
Most other payment providers break down their fees into different categories, meaning that anyone from a hobby seller to a large business can often get a shock when the bill arrives. With PayPal, the more transactions you process, the lower your fee becomes.
PayPal also offers a special rate specifically for transactions under AU$10. The rate is 5% + AU$0.05 per domestic transaction.
This could reduce your PayPal fees on lower priced items. A domestic transaction for an item worth AU$5 through PayPal would mean just AU$0.30 in PayPal fees, as opposed to AU$0.42 with standard pricing.
To apply for this rate, you'll need a separate Business or Premier account for low value transactions only. To make sure you get the most benefit from this special rate you should use an alternative PayPal account with standard pricing for all transactions over $10.
