Buying with PayPal is simple, fast and safe.
PayPal Buyer Protection protects your purchases for up to AU$20,000, for eligible items.
PayPal is FREE for all purchases in Australian dollars made by Australian PayPal accounts.
Buyers and sellers don't have to share their financial details when using PayPal.
PayPal allows you to fund your transactions using your bank account, Visa or MasterCard (both debit and credit) by linking them to your PayPal account. You can also use the funds in your PayPal account.

Tips for a smooth transaction

Check that your postal address is the same in both your eBay and PayPal accounts. You can check this through My eBay in the My Account section. Click on Personal Information to check and update your eBay address. Click on PayPal Account, Update Profile Summary for your PayPal address.
Make sure your PayPal account is verified.
Check your bank account or credit/debit card has enough funds available to complete the transaction.

If you don't have a PayPal account yet you can also shop using a credit, debit or pre-paid Visa or MasterCard.
The transaction will be processed by PayPal so your financial details will be kept secure and PayPal Buyer Protection will be available.
You will only be able to make a limited number of transactions this way.
Follow steps 1 and 2 as above.

Step 3: add your credit card details and pay securely:

If you are paying when you pick up an item in person we recommend cash or bank cheque after meeting the seller and inspecting the item. Please note that PayPal Buyer Protection will not be available.
Be wary of sellers that offer you a discount if you pay them before you pick up the item as they may be attempting to defraud you.
