Open a PayPal account

Anyone with an email address can use PayPal to send or receive money. It's as simple as:

1. Sign up for a PayPal account.
2. Add the bank account or credit card you want to use to fund your PayPal account.
3. Click the Send Money tab.
4. Enter an amount and the recipient's email.

It takes a few minutes to open an account and you can start using it soon after.

  Note: If you link your credit/debit card to your PayPal account you can start using it immediately; if you link your bank account, it'll take about two to three days.
