Get paid with PayPal

PayPal is the fast, safe and easy way to get paid on eBay. Once you sign up you can start receiving debit card, credit card and bank account payments from buyers instantly.

PayPal is now offered in 9 out of 10 eBay listings and is our buyers' preferred method of payment.

Adding PayPal to your eBay listings

When listing your item on eBay, to select PayPal as an accepted payment option:

  1. Tick the box next to PayPal in the 'payments and postage' section.
  2. Add the email address registered with your PayPal account.

PayPal will appear automatically as a payment option in your listings.

The PayPal logo will also appear automatically next to your item in the search results, making it easy for buyers to see which items offer PayPal.

Receiving payment for eBay items

When your buyer sends a PayPal payment for an eBay item, you will receive an email titled You've Got Cash.

Log in to your PayPal account and review the payment details, including the details of the sender, and the amount. You can also review the amount charged in fees for this transaction.

If you are a seller with a Premier or Business account, you will be charged a small fee for receiving payments into your PayPal account. These fees may vary.

Once you have reviewed details of the payment, click on Create a Packing Slip so you can attach the printed slip to your eBay item and send it to the buyer.
