• Who Can Enter?

1. Entry is open to all residents of Australia who are validly registered as:
   1. a member of the website at www.ebay.com.au operated by eBay International AG (eBay), and
   2. a customer of the website at www.paypal.com.au operated by PayPal Australia Pty Limited (PayPal); (in accordance with their respective terms and conditions, policies and User Agreements).
2. Employees (and their immediate family members) of eBay, PayPal, and agencies/companies associated with the conduct of this Promotion, and persons whose eBay or PayPal accounts have been temporarily or indefinitely suspended or made inactive by eBay or PayPal during the Promotion Period, are not eligible to enter the Promotion (Accounts must be in good standing)
3. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all their contact details registered with eBay and PayPal are correct. Entrants will forfeit their right to claim the prize in the event that their contact details are inaccurate or wrong or they have an invalid ebay or PayPal account. Entrants may check or update their contact information by visiting the Profile tab on the PayPal site at http://www.paypal.com.au or the My Account section on the eBay site at http://www.ebay.com.au.

How to Enter

4. Registration Required
   To be eligible to enter this Promotion, entrants must register for this Promotion by completing all mandatory fields on the web-form located on The Vault Promotion page on ebay.com.au during the Promotion Period.
5. General Entry
   
   1. Following receipt of a 'success page' confirming the entrant's registration in accordance with clause 4 above, entrants must during the Promotion Period, complete at least four (4) successful purchases on ebay.com.au which are paid for using the entrant's PayPal account (each purchase being a "Transaction").
   2. Any purchase which is subsequently cancelled, or for which a refund is subsequently sought, is ineligible to be included as a Transaction for the purpose of this Promotion.
   3. Each entrant who satisfies the requirements of clause 6(a) is eligible for one entry in the Promotion.
6. Refer a Friend
   
   1. As part of the registration process detailed in clause 5, entrants may elect to complete the 'Refer a Friend' entry form, by providing the name and email address of 3 people, personally known to the entrant, whom the entrant believes would be interested in entering the Promotion.
   2. The entrant acknowledges and agrees that by completing the 'Refer a Friend' entry form, PayPal is authorised, for and on behalf of the entrant, to send an email to, or to otherwise contact, the people nominated on the form.
   3. Each entrant who satisfies the requirements of clause 6(a) is eligible for one entry in the Promotion.
7. Each entrant can only be eligible for up to two entries in the Promotion - one 'General' entry and one 'Refer a Friend' entry.
8. All entrants and Transactions must conform to eBay's and PayPal's policies and user agreements.

   Promotion Period

9. The promotion commences at 12:00:01am (AEST) on Friday 24 August, 2007 and ends at 11:59:59 (AEST) on Sunday 23 September, 2007 (Promotion Period).

   Prizes

10. There are 301 prizes to be won under this Promotion.
11. The total maximum value of all prizes is A$25,000, being A$10,000 for First prize and A$15,000 for the remaining prizes. Prize values are correct at time of printing.
12. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. Entrants may only win one prize, except for South Australian residents.
13. First Prize
    
    1. The first eligible entrant drawn will receive the First Prize being a PayPal credit of A$10,000 to be spent on ebay.com.au.
    2. This prize is forfeited in the event that the funds are not utilised in accordance with clause 13(a) or are withdrawn from the winners PayPal account or spent other than on www.ebay.com.au.
14. Other Prizes
    
    1. 300 entrants will each receive a PayPal credit of A$50.
    2. This credit may be used as the entrant chooses.

    Prize Draw

15. At the end of the Promotion Period, all eligible entries in the Promoter's database will go into the prize draw.

    When Is The Draw?

16. A computerised random draw to allocate the 301 prizes will take place at 2pm AEST on Monday, 15th October. 2007 at MDSA, 15 Grosvenor St Neutral Bay NSW.
17. Prizes will be awarded in descending order, that is, the first entrant drawn wins First Prize and so on.
18. Unclaimed prizes will be redrawn at 3pm AEST on 1 February, 2008 at MDSA, 15 Grosvenor Street, Neutral Bay NSW in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by that date, subject however to any written directions given under Reg. 37 of the Lottery and Gaming Regulations 1993 (SA).

    How to Claim your Prize

19. Once the prize draw is completed, all eligible entrants will receive an email from PayPal which notifies the entrant of The Vault website URL and a unique 6 digit code - The Key.
20. Entrants need to go to The Vault website, enter the same first name and last name as they entered on their entry Registration Form and then enter their unique 6 digit code (The Key).
21. This will enable the entrant to open The Vault, and they will be advised whether they are a prize winner and the details of their prize.
22. Failure to enter the data correctly will mean that entrants will be unable to open the Vault.
23. Each Key to The Vault is valid for three months from the date of issue. Invalid Keys will not be reissued, and any prize that would have been accessed by that Key will then be deemed an unclaimed prize and will be entered in the unclaimed prize draw.

    How Will The Winners Be Announced?

24. The winners will be notified in writing and on the ebay.com.au. Promotional Board, and alo be published in The Australian newspaper on 25th October, 2007.
25. Any winners in the unclaimed prize draw will be notified in writing and have their names published in The Australian newspaper and on ebay.com.au Promotional Boards on 8th February, 2008.

    How to receive your Prize

26. Entrants must have a valid Australian PayPal account in order to receive their prize.
27. The PayPal credit will be transferred automatically into the winner's PayPal account, however, winners must actively accept the transfer for it to be valid.
28. Credit will be transferred within 28 days of the PayPal Vault key being used by the winners.
29. Winners who reject the credit will be deemed to have rejected the prize and the prize will be returned to the Promoter for inclusion in the unclaimed prize draw. PayPal credits will be deposited within 1 month into the winning members' PayPal account after the winning member has used his or her Vault key.

    Privacy Policy

30. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Each entrant consents to the Promoter and eBay collecting their personal information in order to conduct the Promotion. No further use of information collected solely from entries into the Promotion will be made beyond this Promotion by the Promoter or eBay. To facilitate an entrant's participation, the Promoter may disclose an entrant's personal information to other companies associated with this Promotion (including eBay) and where the Promoter deems it necessary to do so. If an entrant does not provide their personal information, the Promoter will not be able to enter them into this Promotion. An entrant may access and correct any of their personal information held by the Promoter, upon request to the Promoter.

    Miscellaneous

31. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry. The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into, including in the event of a dispute.
32. No responsibility accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
33. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunctions or problem on internet congestion, including injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to participation in this Promotion and any problems with transmission of entries over the internet.
34. The Promoter is not liable for any injury, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained as a result of or in connection with receiving, taking or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting any prize is the responsibility of the winner.
35. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter's database. The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, telephone or computer network, or lines, servers, or telephone or internet providers, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's handset or computer related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this Promotion.
36. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its discretion to modify the terms of the Promotion including the Prizes and these Conditions of Entry, subject to approval of the gaming authorities in each State and Territory where relevant.
