Paying Confidently with PayPal PayPal is the preferred payment method for most eBay buyers and sellers. PayPal enables you to send payments quickly and securely online using a credit card, debit card or bank account. Sellers are required to offer PayPal in their listings.
Most items paid for with PayPal on eBay.com.au are eligible for up to AU$20,000 PayPal Buyer Protection if you don't receive the item you paid for or it is significantly not as described by the seller. Payment problems If you have paid for an item but have not received it or the item is significantly not as described, you can use the Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described Process to help resolve the issue. If you’ve completed the Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described process and have been unable to reach an agreement with the seller, you may be eligible for purchase protection through PayPal Buyer Protection. If you try to file a dispute through eBay within 45 days of paying for the item and you have paid with PayPal, you will be directed to the PayPal Online Dispute Resolution system where you’ll be able to file a dispute with the seller.
