Frequently asked questions
1. How do I qualify for international insertion fee benefits?
If you currently have an Anchor Store subscription and are an eBay Top Rated Seller on eBay.com.au, you can opt in to receive free insertion fees in My eBay by selecting the Account tab and Subscriptions.
If you currently have a Featured or a Basic subscription and are an eBay Top Rated Seller, you can upgrade in the same way in My eBay by selecting the Account tab and Subscriptions.
2. Which sites does this apply to?
Australian Anchor Store sellers will be able to benefit from free insertion fees on the following eBay sites:
In addition, eBay Top Rated Anchor Store sellers will pay lower insertion fees of $0.03 when listing on eBay.com.
3. What is the eBay International Selling Agreement and why do I need to sign it?
As eBay site policies differ by country, eBay may require you to agree to an International Selling Agreement before allowing you to sell internationally. Applicable sellers will see this agreement when they first attempt to list on an eBay site other than eBay.com.au, or when they choose to offer international postage options on an eBay.com.au listing. You can also review and accept the eBay International Selling Agreement prior to listing. Once you've accepted the agreement you won't need to do so again.
4. What final value fee will I be charged if my item sells?
If you list directly onto an international eBay site you’ll be charged the final value fee for that site. If you’re listing on eBay.com.au, and you’ve specified international postage and your item sells, you’ll be charged the eBay.com.au final value fee.
5. I’m an existing seller with different accounts for multiple countries. Should I change to a single account?
The single account should enable most sellers to save money on eBay Store subscriptions and insertion fees, plus it’ll help you to manage your business from a single account. We recommend that you consider changing to the single account.
6. What happens if I lose my eBay Top Rated Seller status?
You must be an eBay Top Rated Seller to be able to qualify for and opt in to receive the international insertion fee benefits. You’ll continue to qualify for these benefits unless you go below standard domestically. If this happens, eBay will block you from selling internationally and you won’t be able to receive the international insertion fee benefits again until you regain eBay Top Rated Seller status for your domestic selling.
