Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro - Tips

Here are some tips about how to use Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro to make your eBay selling more efficient and your buyer communications more effective.

Selling Manager

Note: These tips also apply to Selling Manager Pro.

  • If one of your active listings is doing well, use the Sell Similar feature to quickly list more of the same items with without filling out additional Sell Your Item forms (see Using the Active View).

  • Use Turbo Lister (it's free) to create multiple listings for your items offline, upload them to eBay, and manage them with Selling Manager (see Exporting from Turbo Lister).

  • Personalise your email templates with the AutoText feature.

  • Save time with stored positive feedback comments. Avoid repeating the same comments by editing and creating new stored comments (see Leaving Feedback).

  • Customise your invoices with your logo and a personal message to the buyer

  • Use the bulk email feature to quickly send multiple emails (see Sending Buyers Email).

  • In the Sold View, you can view a buyer's member profile by clicking on the buyer's User ID in the Email/ID column.

  • Use Summary View as a To Do list. For example, you can use the Summary View to see an overall picture of what you need to do. For example, to plan your activities for the week, you could quickly see that you have 43 items that were sold, paid for, and ready to ship.

  • You can download your sales record data into a spreadsheet or database program using a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file (see Downloading Sales Records).

Selling Manager Pro

  • When you first create a product, enter the minimum information first and become familiar with templates first, then add more information to the product details (see Creating Products and Templates).

  • Use default description footers for standard text that you use for a particular type of listing. Examples include return policies, company mottos, and payment instructions (see Setting Automation Preferences ).

  • Use the Auto List feature to set up rules for automatically listing your products. Before you go on vacation, you can also to suspend your automatic listings (see Setting Automation Preferences ).

  • Manage your inventory with Custom Label. Enter a SKU, item location, item cost, or other data into the custom label field to help identify and manage your items. Custom label can be added or edited directly in Selling Manager Pro or when you edit listings in bulk.

  • Save time by automatically leaving positive feedback when a buyer has paid and has left you positive feedback (see Setting Automation Preferences ).

  • If you have many templates to create, you can upload your inventory from a Comma Separated Value (.csv) template (see Uploading Your Product Inventory).

  • Use automatic footers to automatically place standard text in your description (see Setting Automation Preferences).

  • Your automated emails use stored templates. Before setting this preference, review the wording of these email templates to make sure they are appropriate for your selling needs. You can view and edit the appropriate email templates by clicking on the "Edit template" associated with each option.
