Selling Manager Pro: Setting automation preferences for Feedback, email, and listings
Selling Manager Pro subscribers have an additional view in My eBay for their automation preferences.
These preferences let you make global changes to the way that you automate your listings and buyer communication. For example, you can temporarily suspend all automated listing rules so that products aren’t automatically listed or relisted while you’re on holiday.
Changing your automation preferences
To change your automation preferences:Select the options you want to change, and then click the Apply button.
Automatically leaving positive Feedback
You can reduce the time you spend leaving Feedback by automatically sending positive Feedback to buyers.
Tip: Because automated Feedback is always positive, it's a good idea to review your stored comments to ensure they are positive before setting this preference.
Here’s how automated Feedback works:You decide when you want Feedback to be left by choosing between 2 options.
Feedback option |
Description |
Buyer has paid for this item. |
|
Buyer has paid for this item and left me positive Feedback. |
|
When a Feedback rule is triggered (for example, when the buyer pays), Selling Manager Pro generates positive Feedback for the buyer and randomly uses one of your stored comments.
Once Feedback is left for the buyer, the Feedback status for that sold listing is updated. If Feedback isn't sent because of a system failure or because the buyer was suspended, an alert is generated in the Summary view.
Automatically sending email to buyers
eBay automatically sends certain emails for you. As a Selling Manager Pro subscriber, you can also edit those emails.
Note: From early May 2011, the following Selling Manager customisable emails will be discontinued:
Winning Buyer Notification email
These two customisable emails are similar to emails that are automatically generated by eBay and sent to buyers. Their removal helps to reduce the number of emails a buyer receives after a transaction.
Temporarily suspending your automated listing rules
If you're going on holiday or are otherwise unavailable, you can temporarily disable your automated listing rules without having to edit each rule individually.
