How can I revise my listing?

To revise a listing:

Go to My eBay. You may be asked to sign in.
Click the “Selling” link under My eBay Views.
The list of items you are currently selling appears.
Find the item you want to revise.
Select the pull-down menu under the Action column and click the "Revise" link.
The Revise Your Listing page appears.
Make your changes on the Revise Your Item page. If a section is highlighted in gray, it can no longer be changed.
Click the Save and Continue button.
Review your changes and then click the Save Changes button.

To revise multiple listings:

Go to My eBay. You may be asked to sign in.
Click the “Selling” link under My eBay Views.

Your list of items appears.
Select the check boxes for the listings that you want to revise, and click the Edit button.

Note: You may only revise 10 listings at once.
Specify the information that you want to edit in your listings on the Edit Listings: Listing Information page.
Select “Edit listings individually” to make different changes to each individual listing.

–or–

Select “Edit listings in bulk” to make the same changes to all of the listings (according to their selling format).
Click the Continue button.

If you selected the “Edit listings individually” option, the Edit Listings: Edit Individual Listings page will appear.

If you selected the “Edit listings in bulk” option, the Edit Listings: Edit Listings in Bulk page will appear.
Make the necessary changes to your listings and click the Continue button.
Review your changes on the Edit Listings: Review & Submit page.
Click the Submit button to submit your changes. If you’d like to make more changes before submitting the new information, click the Back button.

To edit listings using Selling Manger or Selling Manger Pro, use the Active View.

Revision Limitations

The information that you can revise in your listing depends on the time left before the listing ends and whether you have received any bids or sales. In most cases, you cannot change the listing format (for example, you cannot change from an online auction listing to a Fixed Price listing). Note that removing a bid does not enable you to revise the listing if more than two hours have passed since you submitted the listing.

Listing Types

The following tables show the changes that you can make based on the type of listing, the time left before it ends, and whether you have received any bids:

Tip: If you want to revise your listing but there's less than 12 hours before it ends, or there are bids for the item, you will need to end your listing early and relist it with your corrections.

Auction-style listing

Time left before the listing ends	Did the listing receive bids?	What you can revise
More than 12 hours	No	Revise any information but exceptnot the format. In addition, or the duration cannot be extended if two or more hours have passed since the listing was submitted (with exception for extending to a 10-day listing). Remove the following optional features only: Buy It Now, eBay Picture Services, Reserve Price, 10-day listing Add optional features to increase your item's visibility (for example, bold). Add or change a Gallery picture.
More than 12 hours	Yes	If your item has already received a bid/purchase or the listing ends within 12 hours, you can only: Add to the item description or add a second category (exception: if your listing already has a bid/purchase AND ends within 12 hours, you can't add to your description or add a second category). Add optional seller features to increase your item's visibility.
Less than 12 hours	No	Your changes should not affect the basic item description. Change the category and add Item Specifics. Add optional seller features to increase your item's visibility (for example, bold). Add page view counters. Add or change a Gallery picture. You can also add to the item description: Add more details about the item. Add previously unspecified Item Specifics. Add new payment methods.
Less than 12 hours	Yes	Your changes should not affect the basic item description. You can: Add optional features to increase your item's visibility (for example, bold). Add or change a Gallery picture.

Fixed Price listing

Time left before the listing ends	Has an item from the listing been sold?	What you can revise
More than 12 hours	No	Revise any information except the format. In addition, the duration cannot be extended if two or more hours have passed since the listing was submitted. Remove optional features. Add or change Gallery picture.
More than 12 hours	Yes	Add to item description. Add optional seller features to increase your item's listing visibility.
Less than 12 hours	No	Add to item description. Add Item Specifics
Less than 12 hours	Yes	Add optional seller features to increase your item's listing visibility.

Store Inventory listing

Time left before the listing ends	Has an item from the listing been sold?	What you can revise
Anytime while listing is active	No	Revise any information but not the format. Remove optional features. Add or change Gallery picture.
Anytime while listing is active	Yes	Revise price, quantity and store category. Add or remove optional features. Add to the description.

Ad Format listing

Time left before the listing ends	Did the listing receive bids?	What you can revise
More than 12 hours	No	Revise any information but not the format.
More than 12 hours	Yes	Not applicable, as the Classified Ads do not have bids.
Less than 12 hours	No	You can edit any information but not the format. You can change some Item Specifics but not the category.
Less than 12 hours	Yes	Not applicable, as the Classified Ads do not have bids.
