When you create a listing in certain categories, you can automatically fill your listing with stock product descriptions and photos. Pre-filled item information saves you time and helps to make your listing clear and appealing to buyers. To find pre-filled information about your item, click the "Find your product" link located under the Pre-filled item information section on the Sell Your Item form. Then enter relevant product identifiers such as those shown below.

In addition to making it easier for you to list an item, it helps buyers find your items. For example, you list an item associated with a catalogue (using pre-filled item information), such as a SLR digital camera. When buyers search for SLR digital camera, they may see the matching products at the top of the search result page. When the title is clicked, they go to the product details page where your listing appears.

To find pre-filled information:

• Click the Find your product link under the Pre-filled item information section of the Sell Your Item form.

• Enter relevant product identifiers, such as from the table.

If you are attempting to use one of these identifiers but pre-filled information is unavailable for the item you are trying to sell, you have three options:

• Try again to identify the right product with another product identifier.

• Submit a catalogue addition request (you’ll be prompted to do so if your product search does not return results).

• Go back and list using the standard Sell Your Item form.

Automatically provides most Item Specifics

While Pre-filled Item Information automatically provides most of the Item Specifics fields, it does not address product condition.

Because product condition is one of the top purchasing criteria for eBay buyers, you are strongly encouraged to provide the product's condition using Item Specifics.

• Free to use - There is no charge to use Pre-filled Item Information.

• Supported by eBay Seller tools and third party providers - Pre-filled information is available in all eBay Seller tools, such as Turbo Lister, Selling Manager. For those sellers using third-party providers, please check with your provider to see if they currently support this functionality.

• Flexibility that allows integration with existing listing templates - eBay has built Pre-filled Item Information to complement sellers' existing product description templates. All Pre-filled product descriptions and stock photos are optional and below the Description field on the listing.

• Stock pictures as your Gallery image - Sellers can use stock photo as the Gallery image.

What to do if pre-filled information about your item is incorrect

If the information we display about the product you are trying to sell is incorrect for your item, you should not use pre-filled item information feature when listing that particular product.

Occasionally, you may find that some details in the pre-filled information are missing or wrong (for example, the Release Year is incorrect). We encourage you to let us know about errors, so we can correct them. To report an error in the pre-filled information, simply click on the "send us feedback" link on the right hand side of the Title and Description page within the Sell Your Item form.
