Offering PayPal as a Payment Method

Except for some excluded categories, all sellers on eBay.com.au are required to offer PayPal as a payment method on their listings.

PayPal is the fast, easy, and secure way to pay on eBay. When you list your item with PayPal as a payment method, your buyers can securely pay you online with a credit or debit card bank account or through their PayPal balance. Buyers can pay from the item listing page and payment is deposited directly into your seller account. When you use PayPal, you don’t need to wait for cheques to arrive in the mail, to be processed, or to deal with processing buyer credit cards. PayPal also helps protect you against fraud. For more information, see Selling with PayPal.

PayPal Seller Protection protects eligible eBay sellers against payment reversals due to unauthorised payments (for example, payments made with stolen credit cards) and buyers who claim they haven't received items they've bought from you.
