Using Listing Designer

Improve the visual appeal of your listing

You can improve the visual appeal and effectiveness of your listing by adding attractive themes and layouts. The Listing Designer feature will enable you to create a professional look and feel to your listing without knowing HTML.

Just follow these simple steps to start using Listing Designer:

  1. Choose a theme for your listing.

    A theme automatically adds background colour, pictures, and other improvements to your description. You can choose a theme by selecting the drop-down box on the left side. A preview of the theme will display on the right.

  2. Choose a layout for your listing.

    This will place your descriptive text and pictures into a preformed layout. Simply choose the layout by clicking in the drop-down box on the left side. A preview of the layout will appear on the right.

  3. Preview your theme and layout.

    Once you have selected a theme, a layout, or both, click the "Preview your listing" link to preview your item description with the chosen theme and layout. You can apply different themes and layouts until you find a combination that works for you.

If you have HTML tags in your description, they will continue to work even when you use Listing Designer.

Fees for Listing Designer

If you submit your listing using Listing Designer, you will be charged a fee (fees are shown during the listing process). Note that fees double if your item is listed in two categories. You may preview as many themes and/or layouts as you wish, but you will not be charged until you choose and submit your final choices.
