Resolving buyer issues

If you're having an issue with an eBay buyer, try contacting them directly to try and resolve your problem. However, if you can't work things out, we're always here to step in and help.

Occasionally when selling on eBay, your sale might not go through as smoothly as we would hope, for example, the buyer doesn't pay for their item. If that happens, the best first step is to contact the buyer directly to try and resolve the issue.

However, our top priority is to make sure eBay is a safe marketplace for our members. So, if you can't resolve an issue with a buyer directly, or you think a buyer has violated one of eBay's policies, we're always ready to step in and help.

If you've had an issue with a buyer previously and no longer want them to be able to bid on your listings, you can also block them from buying your items. To find out how, and to learn about getting in touch with buyers and reporting issues to us, read our guides below.
