About Final Value Fees
You're charged a Final Value Fee if your item sells/ends with a winning bid. This fee applies to the final sale price of the listing whether or not you complete the sale with the buyer and excludes the postage amount.
What are the fees for different types of listings?
Here are some examples of Final Value Fees for listings (all exclude postage):
Auction listings: The Final Value Fee is based on the winning bid.
Fixed price listings: The Final Value Fee is based on final sale price.
Multiple item-fixed price listings: The Final Value Fee is calculated per item sold and based on the final sale price of each item.
Listings that have variations: The Final Value Fee is calculated per item sold and based on the final sale price of each item.
Classified Ads using the Best Offer feature: The Final Value Fee is based on the final sale price agreed between the buyer and seller.
Classified listings (without Best Offer attached): There is no Final Value Fee for classified listings as this format does not enable buyers and sellers to transact online through eBay.
Store Listings: Sellers who have a store and list items will incur a different Final Value Fee to non store listings. See the eBay Stores Fees page for details.
eBay Motors: eBay doesn't charge a Final Value Fee for motor vehicles. Instead, eBay charges a Successful Listing Fee when you receive your first bid on an item or your reserve price is met. If your vehicle listing ends with no bids or the reserve isn't met, you won't be charged the Successful Listing Fee. There's no additional fee charged after the vehicle sells. The Parts category in eBay Motors uses the Final Value Fee structure. For more information, see eBay Motors Fees.
Reserve price auction listings: The Final Value Fee is based on the winning bid. There is no Final Value Fee charged if the reserve isn't met (Motors category only).
When am I not required to pay a Final Value Fee?
You won't have to pay the Final Value Fee if:
There's no bid on your item.
No bids meet your reserve price in the case of a Reserve Price Auction.
Your listing is a real estate non-binding listing.
You're selling a motor vehicle.
