PayPal

PayPal together with Paymate and Merchant Credit Cards is one of the safer payment methods for sellers and buyers on eBay. When you accept PayPal, the buyer can pay you instantly and securely online using a credit card or Bank account. With PayPal you can also require immediate payment for Buy It Now items.

You don't need a PayPal accountto begin accepting buyer payments through PayPal.

  1. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can still select PayPal as a payment method and enter the email address where you want to be notified that you've received a payment

  2. If the listing ends with a sale and the buyer sends you a payment through PayPal, you'll be notified and asked to sign up for a PayPal account in a quick, one-time process. You can then transfer the money to your bank account.

PayPal is free for buyers, but PayPal charges sellers with Premier and Business accounts fees to receive payments. Personal accounts are free for sellers, but can't receive credit card payments from other PayPal accounts.

Note: If you offer PayPal as a payment option, you must accept all forms of PayPal payment, including credit cards. If you have a Personal account you must be willing to upgrade from a Personal account to a Premier or Business account if you receive a creit-card-funded payment.
