Select the category that best describes your item so that more buyers will find it. If you're listing a service of any type, you must only list it within the Services category.
Use one of two ways:
Search: Enter descriptive words about your item and click the Search button. You'll get a list of suggested categories based on the percentage of listings whose titles match the words you entered.
Browse: Explore eBay's entire category directory. Select an appropriate term in each box, from left to right, until you see the message "You have finished selecting a category."
For better search results, enter more specific words. For example, a search for Fenton glass vase will give you better suggestions than a search for vase.
If possible, avoid choosing an "Other" category (for example, "Video Games -> Other") because buyers are less likely to find your item.
Services must only be listed in the Services category
