Best Offer

When an item listing includes a link to "Submit Best Offer," you can submit a price that seems fair both to you and to the seller. Think of your offer as a chance to pick the perfect price for both you and the seller.

Keep in mind that any message you include as a part of your Best Offer is not a private form of communication. Messages included in the offer are considered formal terms of your proposed agreement and must not violate eBay policy. Be careful to review what you write in the message field..

When you're done, click the Submit Best Offer button, and a message with your offer will go to the seller.

  • Once you send the offer to the seller, the seller has 48 hours to decide whether to accept your offer or decline it.
  • If the seller declines your offer, you will be notified that your offer has been declined. At that point, you can choose to make another Best Offer.
  • If the seller does nothing and 48 hours elapse, your offer expires. Expired offers show up as "Expired" in you're My eBay account. If your offer expires (neither declined nor accepted), you'll have to choose another option for bidding on this item.
  • If the seller accepts your offer, you automatically win the item.

Once your offer is accepted you can proceed to pay for the item just like you would any other eBay item you'd won.
