Frequently Asked Questions about the User Agreement Revision

As you may know, eBay International A.G., eBay's international headquarters company, recently purchased ecorp Limited's equity interest in our Australia and New Zealand joint venture. (Read the press release.) In order to bring the joint venture in line with its other international businesses, the User Agreement has been revised to reflect eBay International A.G.'s ownership of the online services available at www.ebay.com.au.

Q. How do I benefit from this revision?

A. In the future, you will receive invoices from and should remit payments to eBay International A.G. instead of eBay Inc.

Q. Will the User Agreement ever change again?

A. It may change periodically. When revisions are needed, changes will be posted on the site 30 days before taking effect. You also have the option to receive email notices of any revisions as they occur. To select this option go to the preferences page from my eBay and then review your notification prefences. No revisions will occur without notice to the Announcement Board and/or email to those who requested such notice as necessary.

Q. What do I do now?

A. If you wish to accept the revised User Agreement once it is effective (the earlier of your registration date or 23 December 2002 for new registering users, and 22 January 2003 for all users registered prior to 23 December 2002), you do not need to do anything! If you do not wish to accept the revised User Agreement you may cancel your eBay registration by emailing Customer Support from your registered email address via clicking on Help in the navigation bar at the top of most eBay pages. If you have any current listings when you do this, these will continue normally. However, you will not be able to access any service or feature that requires you to enter a password once your cancellation request is processed.

Your Commercial Relationship with eBay. eBay International A.G. has been designated the other party to the User Agreement.

Notices. The details of where to send Notices have been updated as well as the timing of when Notices will be deemed given.

Disclosures. The address has been changed to that of eBay International A.G.
