Lockpicking Devices

eBay does not permit the listing of any lockpicking or locksmithing device.

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

  • Listing cancellation

  • Limits on account privileges

  • Account suspension

  • Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings

  • Loss of PowerSeller status

Some Examples

  • Locksmithing Devices: lock picks, lockpicking sets, lockpicking cards, tension bars, lockpicking guns, autolock bypass keys ("jigglers"), try-out keys, "slim-jims," tubular lock picks, digital decoders and code grabbing devices.

  • Key Cutters: Devices designed for making an impression of a key or similar security device to duplicate such a key or device.

Why does eBay have this policy?

The sale of lockpicking devices is highly regulated within most states and territories of Australia.
