Such comments may be eligible for removal in accordance with eBay’s defamation policy.
Inflammatory language, such as fraud, liar, cheater, scam artist, con man, while strongly discouraged, will not be removed unless found to be in violation of one of the above guidelines. Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including: Limits on account privileges Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings Loss of PowerSeller status Feedback rating and/or comment removal
Why does eBay have this policy? Feedback is the foundation of trust on eBay. Abuse of the eBay feedback system undermines the integrity of the feedback system and decreases trust within the eBay marketplace. Though feedback is a member-to-member system, there are specific, limited occasions when eBay will remove feedback comments. For additional information about the circumstances under which Feedback ratings and/or comments may be removed by eBay, consult the Feedback Removal page.
