Using our postage calculator

When you create a listing using the calculated postage option, we use our postage calculator to automatically update the postage charge a buyer sees based on their location, and the details you provide on your package and delivery service.

Here's how to use calculated postage when listing your items:

  1. In the Add postage details section of your listing, select Show all postage options and then Calculate postage.
  2. Enter your package type, dimensions, and weight, and select Continue. If you're selling an irregularly shaped item, estimate it's dimensions by measuring a box you can fit it in.
  3. On the next page enter your postcode and any handling fees.
  4. You can then use the Domestic Rates and International Rates dropdown menus to get an idea of how much each service costs.
  5. Select the delivery options you’d like to offer your buyer, then choose Offer Services to add them to your listing.

Tip
You can also use the postage calculator - opens in new window or tab tool before creating your listing, to research what it might cost to post your item to different locations.

With calculated postage, the buyer's postage cost will be calculated automatically based on their location and the package's weight and dimensions.
