You can reduce the number of items in your search or browse results by using tabs, lists, links, and other options to filter and sort the information. Filtering and sorting are different, but both methods help to make your results more manageable so that you can find the items you want more quickly.
Filtering: When you filter your results, you modify the search criteria and perform the search again, so that your new search results are reduced and are more precise.
Sorting: When you sort your results, you rearrange the information in your search results, so that the number of results are the same, but the information is in a different order.
To narrow your results, from your search or browse results, do any of the following:
Notes: The filtering and sorting options listed in the following table are commonly used options, and additional options are available. You can add or remove filtering options by customising your search options. You can add or remove sorting options by customising your display.

Auction Items
Example: Show me only DVD listings that are available by auction.
Click the Auctions tab at the top of your search results.
Not available.
Buy it Now Items
Example: Show me only DVD listings that offer the Buy it Now option.
Do one of the following:
Click the Buy it Now tab.or
On the left side of the page, under Search Options, select the Buy It Now items checkbox, and click the Show Items button
Completed Listings
Example: Show me only DVD listings that have ended so that I can research past prices and results of similar listings.
On the left side of the page, under Search Options, select the Completed listings checkbox.
Click the Show Items button.
Country/Region
Example: Show me only DVD listings located within Australia
On the left side of the page, under Search Options, select Australia Only.
Example: Sort my results by country/region with my site first.
Click the Country/Region link.
or
From the Sort by list, choose Country/Region: sort down.
Distance
Example: Show me only DVD listings within 100 kilometres of my Postcode.
On the left side of the page, under Search Options, select the Items within checkbox.
From the list, choose the distance.
In the kilometres of box, type a Postcode.
Example: Sort my results by distance, the nearest to the farthest
Click the Distance link.
From the Sort by list, choose Distance: nearest first.
You may need to provide a Postcode.
Lots (Multiple Items)
Example: Show me only DVD listings that include more than one similar item.
On the left side of the page, under Search Options, select the Items listed as lots checkbox.
PayPal Items
Example: Show me only DVD listings that accept PayPal.
On the left side of the page, under Search Options, select the Items listed with PayPal checkbox.
Example: Sort my results by listings that accept PayPal.
Click the PayPal link.
Price
Example: Show me only the DVD listings that cost between $5.00 and $40.00.
On the left side of the page, under Search Options, select the Items priced checkbox.
Type numbers in the boxes to specify the upper and/or lower price limits. Do not use $.
Example: Sort my results by lowest price to highest price.
Click the Price link.
From the Sort by list, choose Price: lowest first.
Time
Example: Show me only the DVD listings that are ending within 24 hours.
On the left side of the page, under Search Options, select the Listings checkbox.
From the lists, select Ending within. Then select 24 hours.
Example: Sort my results by time, with the listings that end the soonest first.
Click the Time Left link.
From the Sort by list, choose Time: ending soonest.
