Delivery and pickup options

In some locations, you can buy an item on eBay and arrange to pick it up from a collection point near you. Sellers may also offer local pickup on some or all of their items.

About Click & Collect

With Click & Collect you can buy from selected eBay sellers and collect your item from a collection point near you, including Woolworths stores or sellers' own retail outlets. Please check the listing to see if store locations are available near you.

Learn more about Click & Collect.

How Click & Collect works

  • Select an item that's available for Click & Collect (you'll see this option on the listing when it's available).

  • Find a store location near you.

  • Complete and pay for your purchase and select your chosen store for collection. (You can't pay for your item at the time of collection.)

  • You'll get a notification via email (or SMS, if you've selected this) when your parcel is ready to collect. This will include a unique collection code.

  • Take your collection code to your selected store to pick up your parcel.

Collecting your order

Collecting from the retailer

Collecting from Woolworths

  • The retailer will get your order ready to collect at your chosen store – this may take a little longer if they have to send an item between branches.

  • You'll receive a notification with specific instructions on when and how to collect your order.

  • Take your unique order code to your selected store. You may also need photo ID.

  • The seller will post your item to your chosen Woolworths store – allow up to five business days for delivery.

  • We'll send you a notification with specific instructions on when and how to collect your parcel.

  • Take your collection code to your selected store to pick up your parcel.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Your order can only be collected from your selected store. Check the listing and/or collection instructions for specific details.

  • Your order will be held in store for a limited time only. Uncollected items aren't covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee.

  • Someone else may be able to collect your order on your behalf, but contact the seller first as retailers often require photo ID for collection.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Your parcel can only be collected from your selected Woolworths store.

  • You must collect your item within seven days. Uncollected items aren't covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee.

  • Someone else can collect your parcel on your behalf, as long as they have your collection code.

Cancelling a Click & Collect order

If you bought the item but you've changed your mind, contact the seller through the listing in My eBay > Purchase history, explain the situation and see if the seller is willing to cancel the transaction.

If you'd already paid, contact the seller urgently as they may already be preparing your order for collection. Uncollected items aren't covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee.

Collecting from the retailer

Collecting from Woolworths

If the retailer has already got your order ready for collection, contact them to see if you can return the item for a refund (see below).

If the seller has already sent the item to your chosen Woolworths store, the best thing to do is to collect it and then return it to the seller for a refund (see below).

Returning a Click & Collect item

If you want to return an item you purchased using Click & Collect, first check the seller's return policy in the listing for the seller's return period and other information.

If an item doesn't match the listing description (e.g. it's faulty or missing a part), sellers on eBay.com.au must accept a return. Learn more about eBay Money Back Guarantee.

Returning items collected from the retailer

Returning items collected from Woolworths

Important: If you need to return an item, you must return it to the store you collected it from.

Returning an item because you changed your mind, or exchanging an item
If the item falls within the seller's return and exchange policy, take the item back to the store along with your purchase confirmation.

Returning an item that doesn't match the listing description
First, take the item back to the store along with your purchase confirmation. If the seller doesn't resolve the issue, we can help. Find the item in My eBay and select Return this item from the More actions drop-down menu. You'll be prompted to contact us.

Receiving a refund
Check the seller's return policy for details about refunds.

Important: Woolworths stores cannot assist with returning items.

Starting a return request
If the seller accepts returns, or if the item doesn't match the listing description, find the item in My eBay and select Return this item from the More actions drop-down menu. You'll either be prompted to contact the seller or we'll automatically start guiding you through the return process.

Returning the item to the seller
You must send the item back to the seller's return address. Remember to package up any items securely and with sufficient protection when you send them back.

Receiving a refund
The seller should refund you within six business days of receiving the returned item. Check the seller's return policy for details about refunds.

Most returns and refunds go smoothly, but if a seller doesn't issue you a refund, you can ask us to step in and help. Learn more about returning an item and eBay Money Back Guarantee.

Local pickup

Sellers can offer a local pickup option – for example if they don't want to post large, heavy or fragile items, or they'd simply prefer to have buyers pick up the item.

How it works
  • Read the listing carefully to determine the location of the item and the postage or local pickup options the seller offers. Use the Ask a question link in the listing if you need to check on anything before buying.

  • Complete your purchase on eBay. If the seller hasn't entered pickup instructions in checkout, use theContact seller link to get in touch with them.

  • In addition to PayPal or a credit card, you can sometimes use a cheque, money order, cash or internet bank transfer to pay for an item when you pick it up, as specified by the seller in the listing. For more information, see our Accepted payments policy.

Returning an item you purchased with local pickup

If you want to return an item after you've picked it up, work with the seller to find a way to get the item back to them safely. Read and understand the return policy in the listing before making your purchase.

Note: Items damaged during pickup aren't covered by eBay Money Back Guarantee.
