Subscribing to RSS feeds

An RSS feed will notify you right away whenever an eBay blog, discussion group, or Store has a new item or post.

What is RSS?

A "feed" is a summary of web content that’s updated on a regular basis. The feed format that we use is Really Simple Syndication (RSS) 2.0.

When you get a feed, you’ll see a summary or headline view that lets you quickly scan recent content changes. The headlines are links which you can click to read the entire article.

How to use RSS

Before you subscribe to a feed, you'll need an RSS reader or “aggregator” to view content in RSS. Several free and commercial RSS readers are available online. Popular RSS readers include AmphetaDesk, Radio UserLand, and NewzCrawler.

Once you have an RSS reader, you can click Subscribe links whenever you see the RSS icon RSS icon.

Our RSS feeds

Since eBay has such a vibrant community, our content changes on a regular basis. RSS feeds make it easy for you to see recent changes and updates for:

  • Stores

  • Discussion boards

  • Blogs

  • Search results page

  • Announcement boards

You'll get updates from RSS feeds based on how often you set your reader to retrieve data from eBay. Usually, you can get new information every 30 minutes.

If a seller chooses to not distribute a listing via an RSS feed, or if RSS feeds are unavailable for a particular page, members will receive an error message if they try access that feed.
