Selling fees are charges for selling your items on eBay, such as Insertion Fees, Final Value Fees, and fees for optional listing features. Learn more about seller fees and how they are determined.
You can make a payment or change your payment method at any time by going to the Seller Account section in My eBay. Learn more about making a one-time payment and updating your monthly automatic payments.
Choose from a variety of methods to pay your seller’s fees.
PayPal: PayPal is a safe, convenient way to automatically pay your eBay fees. When you sign up for monthly PayPal payments, your invoice amount will automatically be deducted from your PayPal account each month.
Credit card: Each month, eBay will automatically charge your invoice amount directly to your credit card you place on file (Visa or MasterCard). Your credit card will normally be charged five to seven days after you receive your invoice. You can also make a one-time payment with your credit card.
Direct Debit: With Direct Debit, eBay will automatically deduct your monthly invoice amount from your bank account. This option is available to sellers billed in Australian dollars with Australian bank accounts. To sign up for Direct Debit, you will need to provide eBay with your bank account and routing numbers which are shown on the bottom of your cheques. Or you can make a one-time Direct Debit payment from your bank account. Your payment will be posted to your eBay account within two business days.
Cheque and money order: After they are received, cheque and money order payments take seven to 10 business days to process and post to your account. Please remember that this does not include weekends and holidays.
Note: When making payment by cheque or money order, you must submit a payment coupon along with your cheque or money order and mail it to the address on the coupon.
PayPal is a secure, convenient way to automatically pay your eBay seller fees for domestic transactions*. When you set up automatic PayPal payments, your seller fees are automatically deducted from your PayPal account no sooner than 10 days after you receive your invoice.
How automatic PayPal payments work
PayPal will first withdraw funds from your PayPal account balance.
If there is not sufficient funds in the PayPal account, PayPal uses the funding source you selected when you signed up for automatic PayPal payments to complete the payment.
If you didn't select a preferred funding source during that process, PayPal uses your other PayPal funding sources, ie your bank account, credit card or debit card.
Changing your PayPal funding source
You can change the account your eBay fees get paid from at any time.
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click the Profile tab.
In the Financial Information column, click the Preapproved Payments link.
Click the Edit Funding Source link to update or change your funding sources.
Click the Save button.
* Additional fees may apply for receipt of overseas or foreign currency payments.
You'll need to pay your invoice balance in full each month to keep your account current. If you don’t keep your account current, your account may be suspended for non-payment and you may be responsible for collection costs. The payment due date is determined by the date eBay generates your invoice (either the 15th of the month or the last day of the month). For information on payment requirements, late fees, and payment schedules, see Your Payment Due Date.
Using My eBay Views, you'll find two ways to view the activity (fees, payments, credits, etc.) on your seller's account:
Account Status shows your current estimated balance and a list of your account activities.
Invoices shows your account activity as it appears in your monthly invoice.
eBay will send you monthly invoice notifcations by email (if your balance was more than $1.00 during the month).
You can also download the last 4 months of your invoice data to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or any application that supports CSV by clicking the "Download" link displayed when you view your invoice.
You can also view the last 18 months of your invoice data as HTML files when you view your invoice.
You can receive credit on your account under certain conditions. Review Insertion Fee Credit Requirements for Relisted Items and Requesting Final Value Fee Credits for requirements.
If you have a credit balance with your account, you can request a refund. Learn more about Requesting a Refund.
