Making a One-Time Payment

You can make a one-time payment for your eBay selling fees from the Make a Single Payment on Your eBay Seller Account page or the “Seller Account” section of My eBay.

You can make a one-time payment of your selling fees with the following payment methods.

Important: Please do not send cash payments to eBay.

For information on payment requirements, late fees, and payment schedules, see Your Payment Due Date.
Note: The making a one-time payment option is not for a buyer to pay the seller. It is for sellers to pay their eBay seller fees. Payments for items buyers have purchased must be sent directly to the sellers. Please do not send these payments to eBay.

Coordinating one-time and automatic payments

Even if you have an automatic payment method on file, you can still choose to make a one-time payment. However, to avoid duplicate payment, one-time payments should be made before the end of your invoice cycle.

Example: If you are invoiced at the end of the month and have your credit card on file for automatic payment, and it is now the 4th day of the month, there will be an automatic credit card payment processing already, so a one-time payment should only be made after this automatic payment has posted to your account.

Before submitting a one-time payment, you should review the automatic payment schedule to see when your automatic payments are debited and allow at least five days between any one-time payment and your automatic scheduled payment to avoid duplicate payments.

Making a one-time payment by direct debit

You can make a one-time payment using your bank account, even if your selling account isn't set up for automatic payment.

To make a one-time payment by direct debit:
  1. Click the “My eBay” link at the top of the eBay home page.

  2. On the left-hand side of the page under My eBay Views, click the "Seller Account" link under the “My Account” section.

  3. Under eBay Seller Fees, select the “payment method” link to select another one-time payment method.

  4. Click the “Make a Direct Debit payment” link.

  5. On the One-time eBay Direct Debit page, enter the amount you want to pay, and then click the Pay button.

Making a one-time payment by credit or debit card

Even if you already have an automated payment method on file, you can still make a one-time payment using a credit or debit card.

To make a one-time payment by credit or debit card:
  1. Click the “My eBay” link at the top of the eBay home page.

  2. On the left-hand side of the page under My eBay Views, click the "Seller Account" link under the “My Account” section.

  3. Under eBay Seller Fees, select the “payment method” link to select another one-time payment method.

  4. Click the “Pay with your credit or debit card” link.

  5. On the Make a Credit Card Payment page, enter the credit card information and amount you want to pay, and then click the Pay button.

Note: If you used a credit card during registration on eBay, you don't have to use the same credit card to pay your fees. Your credit card will normally be charged 5 to 7 days after you receive your invoice. Learn more about eBay account invoices and payment schedules.

Making a one-time payment by cheque or money order

To ensure that your payment is processed quickly and accurately, please enclose a payment coupon with your cheque or money order.

To obtain a payment coupon:
  1. Click the “My eBay” link at the top of the eBay home page.

  2. On the left-hand side of the page under My eBay Views, click the "Seller Account" link under the “My Account” section.

  3. Under eBay Seller Fees, select the “payment method” link to select another one-time payment method.

  4. Click the “Mail in a cheque or money order” link.

  5. Print out the payment coupon, enclose it with your cheque or money order, and mail your payment to the address shown on the coupon.

When paying by cheque or money order:

  • Always write your eBay invoice number and User ID on the front of your cheque or money order.

  • Always send your cheque or money order to the address shown on the payment coupon. Sending it to any other address will delay processing.

  • Cheque and money order payments can take between 7 to 10 business days to process and post to your account.

  • Your cheque information must match your account information (no third-party cheques).

  • Cheques or money orders drawn on foreign banks must include an additional $10.00 to cover bank fees.

  • Returned cheques are subject to a $15.00 service charge.

  • If you are signed up for automatic monthly payments, be sure to mail your cheque or money order for the full amount owed at least 10 days prior to your invoice date. This will ensure that you are not charged twice.

    To view payment status:

    1. Go to My eBay

    2. Click “the “Seller Account” link   within the “My Account” sectio

      3.  Click  the “payments & refunds” link.
