Merging Accounts (Combining Two User IDs)
If you have two eBay accounts with two different User IDs and email addresses, you can ask eBay to combine them into one merged account. Merging accounts can simplify your activity on eBay because you'll have just one account to manage.
When you merge two accounts, you select the User ID and the email address that you want to remain active. The User ID you choose to keep will be called your primary account. The account data from the secondary account (the User ID you do not keep) is then merged into that account.
Important: Once your accounts are merged, the new merged account cannot be merged again in the future.
Before you decide to merge accounts, you should review some information about considerations and the requirements you must meet in order to merge your accounts.
Considerations for merging accounts
Your merged account will combine your feedback and guides, and your helpfulness ratings from both accounts. When considering whether or not to merge accounts, keep in mind the following information:
Your merged account’s member since date will be date of your older account.
Your merged account will combine the feedback from both accounts so that the feedback score will reflect the total feedback earned on both accounts.
Your merged feedback comments may not appear in chronological order.
The guides you have written for both accounts will be added together.
The helpfulness ratings (for guides) for both accounts will be added together. The helpfulness rating will reflect the total rating earned on both accounts.
Requirements for merging accounts
To merge accounts, you must meet the following requirements.
You must provide proof that you are the owner of both accounts. For example, the contact information on both accounts must match.
The secondary account must remain inactive (no bidding or listing activity) for at least 60 days prior to the merge to the primary account.
Note: You can continue to use the primary account as you normally would during that time.
You must owe no seller fees (that is, you must have a balance of $0.00) on the secondary account.
You’ll need to cancel any subscriptions on the secondary account, such as subscriptions to eBay's selling tools.
If you have an eBay Store, make sure you associate your Stores inventory with your new merged account.
