Contacting eBay Customer Support

If you need help, you can contact us. We'll be able to help you through a quick phone call, by chatting with you online, or you can send us an email.

To contact us:
  1. Click Customer Support on the upper right side of this page.

  2. You may be asked to sign in. (This helps us find your account information.)

  3. Enter a keyword or topic, or select a topic from the list.

  4. We'll show a quick way to resolve your issue yourself, or we’ll show you the best way(s) to contact us and when we're available.

  5. Click Call us, Call me, Chat with us or Email us.

  • We offer phone support for most issues. Selecting the topic that best matches your question will help us make sure your issue is resolved as quickly as possible.

  • Make sure that you use the phone number and PIN you're given. This ensures that we have the information we need when we talk to you.

  • Don't share the phone number with others. There are different phone numbers to contact different customer support teams.

Call me

Request a call from Customer Support.

  • You will be given the current estimated wait time for a return call

  • If you select the Call me option, we'll show you the phone number we have for you and ask you to confirm this is the right number to call. You can also provide a different number to call back.

    • Please note: Phone numbers need to be entered as 10 digits, including the 0 (e.g. 02-1234-5678).

    • The 0 is only dropped if calling from overseas and dialling the AU country code.

  • Your Call me request is then submitted.

Chat with us

  • You can also chat with us.

Email us

  • We may ask you to send us an email if we need to investigate your issue further (for example, if you want to report a policy violation).

  • Please make sure you fill out the form completely and with as much detail as possible.

Things to keep in mind when contacting us

  • When contacting us, provide as many details as you can. Include dates, item number, user IDs and any steps you took before asking your question.

  • If you have a general question about a particular transaction, please contact your buyer or seller before you contact us.

  • Depending on your specific issue or question, not all of the contact options may be available.

Important:

- You may need to disable your pop-up blocker to make sure you see all the information in Customer Support.

- Don't use the Was this page helpful? box at the bottom of this page to send your question or problem to Customer Support. We won't be able to respond to your message. To contact us, make sure you follow the instructions above.
