Viewing Your Account Status

You can view your recent account activity at any time through My eBay. For example, you can:

To view your account status:

  1. Click the My eBay button at the top of any eBay page.

  2. Under My eBay Views, click the "My Accounts" link.

  3. Under the "My Seller Account Summary" section, click the ”View account status” link.

  • Account Status shows your account details and a list of your account activities for the last four months.

  • You can also see your invoices which reflect your account activity as it has appeared in your monthly invoices, for up to 18 months.

To see your invoice click the “View invoices” link at the top of the Account Status page. Your account activity as it appears on your monthly invoices is displayed. For additional information on Account Invoice, see Understanding Your eBay Invoice.

Account Status

At the top of the account status page you can see your balance which includes the total of your latest invoice amount, payments, credits, and refunds, as well as your other account activity (see A in the screen below).

To see your Billing Cycle and Payment Method, click the “Show Details” links and they will be displayed in this section.

Understanding your account balance

There are a few reasons why your balance may be different from your currently due amount. While your amount due reflects recent credits, payments, refunds and reversals, it does not include your seller fees or any new activity since your last invoice. This is to help prevent overpayments. To view more up-to-date detailed information about your account, select from the Fees, Credits, or Payments & Refunds tabs (see B in the screen below).

Note: Depending on when they are processed, some credits, payments and refunds are applied to the current amount due while some are not.

All Account Activity

In the All Account Activity section you can display your Activity since last invoice, Specify range (up to 4 months), and Item number, (see C in the screen above). You can also select the Fees, Credits, or Payments & Refunds tabs to view more specific account information.

Your account activity also contains the following areas:

  • Date: shows all transactions and account details in chronological order. This is the default view you see when you go to the page.

  • Title: shows the description of the item being sold.

  • Item: the number associated with the item being sold.

  • Fee Type: this is the fee type being applied to the item being sold for example, Insertion Fees, Final Value Fees, Bold Fees, credits, etc.

  • Amount: subtotals by selecting the Fee Type. It allows you to see a subtotal for Insertion Fees, Final Value Fees, Bold Fees, credits, etc.

  • Balance: the running total for each fee on the invoice displayed. A final total is shown at the end of the last transaction on the invoice.

You can sort your account activity by date, fee type or Item. The arrow appears after each sort option allows you to sort in ascending or descending order.

Note: Charges represent the money you owe eBay, including Insertion Fees and Final Value Fees. Charges are listed on your account status and your monthly invoice as positive numbers. Credits represent fee reversals, item credits, or payments. Credits are listed on your account status and your monthly invoice as negative numbers.

Downloading your Account Activity

You can download up to the last 4 months of your account activity to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or any application that supports CSV files by clicking the "Download" link, located at the top of the Account Activity section, (see B in the screen above). You can also view the last 18 months of account activity as an HTML file by clicking the "Download" link.

If you're looking for information about items you recently listed, sold, bid on, or bought, go to the All Selling view in My eBay.

Note: eBay also sends you a monthly invoice notification to the email account you used to register with eBay.
